Xtend Barre is now in the Inner West! Xtend Barre Drummoyne offers a fast-paced, 55-minute full body workout that fuses dance, Pilates and sculpting exercises at the ballet barre to give you a chiseled body – and fast! You can now Xtend by the Bay!

By using a series of isometric exercises and orthopedic stretches, the Xtend Barre system sculpts the body proportionally so that all body parts are equally challenged. This total body workout serves to strengthen, lengthen, and stretch the body from top to bottom, from inside out. The end result is a long and lean physique… without added bulk. Developed from a dance / Pilates background, the Xtend Barre workout combines the amazing results of dance with the principles of strength and safety in Pilates.

Rockell Williamson-Rudder – Xtend Barre Studio Owner

Rockell's professional dance career started with her debut at the iconic 'Moulin Rouge' in Paris at the age of 18. This was followed by countless performances internationally as a commercial dancer and model. During her career Rockell toured Australia with 'Grease' the musical and performed in national and international TV commercials and television series. Having enjoyed her training and conditioning as a dancer she decided to pursue fitness further with studying Pilates. She is a full cert STOTT Pilates instructor and has had the opportunity to teach at many wonderful studios across Australia and the USA. Rockell was the founder of Oxygen Pilates on the Sunshine Coast, Australia and now resides in the USA. While looking for challenges and refreshing ideas to add into her sessions, Rockell discovered the Xtend Barre Workout. It was like a breath of fresh air. Already loving everything Pilates gave her and her clients, Xtend Barre took things to a whole new level - the energy, pace and precision applied to the repertoire was seeing her clients achieve stunning results. The combination of Pilates and Dance in Xtend Barre = perfection. As the International Director at Xtend Barre, Rockell is very excited to see people all around the world enjoying the results of this amazing program.


Jen de Leon - Studio Manager/Instructor

During her professional career as both a singer and a dancer, Jen has performed in numerous corporate events, children’s entertainment, film clips, modeling, movies and national advertisement campaigns. After her 2007-2008 tour with Cameron Macintosh’s, ‘Miss Saigon’ she entered the corporate world in London. Upon recently returning to Australia, Jen discovered Xtend Barre and was quick to join the Xtend Barre family as an instructor. She was amazed at how fast the results were and how fun the workout is. With putting the dancing shoes aside professionally, Jen found this was great way to challenge her workout AND still dance! With her wonderful background in the world of entertainment and marketing, Jen brings endless passion and energy to Xtend Barre Sydney and as studio manager, she is here to make your Xtend Barre experience truly special.


SHAY STAFFORD - Instructor

After a dance career spanning nearly 20 years, 13 spent in Paris at the famous Moulin Rouge and Lido as a lead performer and dance captain, Shay retired from the stage to take on motherhood. She moved home to Sydney with her young family and threw herself into Xtend Barre training to regain her pre-baby dancer's body. "Xtend and Pilates are a match made in heaven, and I now feel stronger than ever." Shay is delighted to be teaching at Xtend Barre Sydney. She is a certified instructor of Xtend Barre, Pilates Mat and Reformer, has a Certificate 3 in Fitness, and is a registered fitness leader with Fitness Australia. Shay continues to teach dance workshops as well, and shares her love of Paris cabaret in her Showgirl classes. She is also the author of Memoirs of a Showgirl. For more about shay visit


Yvette Lakin - Instructor

Yvette is a dancer/performer/certified personal trainer with a degree in dance and theatre. Starting classical ballet at an early age, Yvette's passion for dance and performing arts continued into adulthood performing in various dance and theatrical shows in London, Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. This passion has continued in her fitness career and she is now a sought after instructor in Pilates and Yoga having taught both overseas and around Australia. Yvette has a Certificate 3 and 4 in fitness and is a certified Mat and Equipment Pilates Instructor. Her energy and enthusiasm for fitness is evident in all her classes at Xtend Barre Sydney.



Rebecca started dancing lessons just shy of turning 3, and began performing in stage productions at the age of 6. She trained in Classical ballet, jazz, modern/contemporary, tap, acrobatics, singing and drama for 15+ years. Her love of dance gave her the opportunity to perform in some amazing venues including, Sydney Entertainment Centre, Universal Studios Florida, and onboard Royal Caribbean Cruises. Rebecca studied at The McDonald College, where she obtained her HSC, and then went on to complete a full-time dance course at Brent Street Studios. She has been fortunate enough to study under some incredible choreographers, such as Valerie Tweedie, Kelley Abbey, Juliette Verne, David Atkins, Sue Ellen Chester, Marie Poloski, Jason Coleman and Normal Hall. In recent years Rebecca has devoted her energy to establishing her career as an Executive Assistant in the Advertising Industry, and caring for her beautiful 5 year old special needs daughter. Rebecca is excited by the opportunity Xtend Barre presents, as it enables her to be involved professionally in something that she truly believes in, and loves. She conducts her classes with enthusiasm and her infectious personality makes every class an experience that clients look forward to with uplifting expectation.


AMY PETSALIS - Instructor

Since the age of 6, Amy has trained in all aspects of dance and after completing a Certificate IV Degree Course of Performing Arts, she then immersed herself in the entertainment industry. Amy’s FILM credits include the highly successful motion capture Oscar winning film “Happy Feet”. Amy has done countless work for COMMERCIAL, TELEVISION, CORPORATE and STAGE, has toured around the world and besides all that, Amy also enjoys fusing her styles into an Argentinean tango show, Three2TANGO. Being a passionate dance teacher for many years, Amy has made another dream of hers a reality and opened the doors to her very own dance studio - AP ACADEMY. Amy started training in Xtend Barre to maintain her fitness, strength and flexibility, but didn’t want to stop there. She fell in love with it and wanted to take it a step further to inspire and motivate others each day by becoming an instructor. “Xtend Barre has been the best addition into my daily routine and the rewards are endless. Seeing the positive changes throughout classes with big smiles on peoples face knowing you had a hand in that is a fantastic feeling. That is one of the many reason why I love being apart of the Xtend Barre Family.”


Alice Scott - Instructor

Alice is a qualified Pilates Instructor, who has been teaching for the past 5 years. Her passion for teaching is contagious; she aims to provide a changeling yet enjoyable workout for all clients from varying fitness levels and ages. Holding a Bachelor of Health Science degree, majoring in Naturopathy from the University of Western Sydney, Alice has an extensive knowledge of Anatomy and functional movement of the body. This knowledge of human movement, combined with her love of dance and her Pilates background, has led her to become an Xtend Barre Instructor. Witnessing clients transform their bodies and achieve their fitness goals with Xtend Barre is truly inspiring, believing that Xtend Barre is a great addition to any one's workout regime. Alice's goal as an Instructor is to provide a balanced, functional and safe workout that improves strength, posture, energy, and encourages a healthier lifestyle for all participants.


Chrisen Hall - Instructor

Chrisen first found his yoga practice as a powerful antidote to working in the busy entertainment industry. His increasing interest in a holistic approach to health, exercise and wellbeing led him to complete his Level 1 Yoga Certificate and since Chrisen has shared his belief in the power of personal growth through self-study and awareness on the mat. Chrisen's passion for yoga is evident in every one of his classes as he safely guides you through a yoga practice that will leave you feeling stronger physically and mentally. Chrisen is also certified to teach Mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates.


Heidi Doran - Instructor

With a background in Yoga, group exercise and Stott Pilates, Heidi is ‘Passionate’ and ‘Geeky’ about intelligent workouts. She teaches a tough and challenging class filled with warmth and encouragement. Heidi continues to study her love of holistic health and fitness and is in her 2nd year Bachelor of Health Sciences in Naturopathy and Nutrition. As a self-confessed treadmill-phobe, Heidi fell in love with Xtend Barre from her first class. ‘It's the ultimate full body cardio workout that is fun and gets fast results'. She is thrilled to be part of the Xtend Barre Sydney team and especially excited to also be teaching TRX at the studio.


Carly Cooper-Smith - Instructor

Carly began dancing at the early age of 3. She has trained in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, musical theatre & elite gymnastics. For the past 8 years, Carly has found her career  as a professional dancer across Sydney & Los Angeles. She graduated with a Certificate IV in Performing Arts at Brent Street Studios in 2007. In 2010 Carly finished in the top 8 of "So You Think You Can Dance" Australia. Some of her credits include dancing for Kylie Minogue, Danni Minogue, Timomatic, Ricki Lee, Jessica Mauboy, X factor, Australian Idol, Australia's got talent, Australia's Next Top Model and many more along the way. Carly is a very generous & caring instructor who loves to nurture and help every single one of her clients. Carly found her love and passion in Xtend Barre while taking classes with her fellow Aussie Xtend Barre family in Los Angeles. "Xtend Barre is like finding a pot of gold" she says! Carly is so excited to share her knowledge of movement & grow with her clients, and is a lover of working hard. Nothing makes her happier than helping others & seeing them succeed.


Natalie Conway - Instructor

Natalie has established a successful career as a professional vocalist and performer and has been performing nationally and internationally for over 8 years. Maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle has always been vital to her to ensure a sustainable career in the Entertainment Industry. After training in Pilates for several years, Natalie discovered Xtend Barre, which helped her to transform her body in a completely new way; one that she never thought was possible. Natalie’s main aim is for her clients to feel and see the benefits of Xtend Barre in the same way she has. She loves to encourage her clients to put their best effort into every class and has maintains a strong focus on technique, to ensure that everyone achieves the results they’re looking for. Natalie endeavors to make every class challenging, inspiring and well worth every second of those 55 minutes!


Samara Kennedy – Instructor

Dancing from a very young age, Samara now continues to work in the entertainment industry as a dancer and model. She has performed in many corporate events, national advertising campaigns, music videos, Television commercials and dramas, over the past year has been working alongside Shay Stafford in the stage show Memoirs of a Showgirl and The Great Gatsby directed by Baz Luhrman. After finding Xtend Barre and realizing it not only strengthens your body but also sculpts it, she chose to study Pilates and Xtend Barre to become a qualified teacher. Xtend Barre brings all of her passion for dance, Pilates, music and fitness together and combines them in a very fun and addictive workout.


Dani Playel - Instructor

Dani comes from a dance background, having trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Contemporary from the age of 5. She was fortunate and grateful to have enjoyed performing in Musical Theatre, Film and on TV as a dancer, singer and actress in Australia and Asia before moving to Los Angeles in 2000 where she continued to perform while pursuing acting for film and TV. Dani’s love for teaching began at around the age of 12 when she assisted teaching “tiny tots” in dance – which in fact was her first job! Now as a mother of 2 year old twins, it is only fitting that she come full circle and finds herself back in the studio and at the Barre counting to music. Throughout her life, training and career, Dani has been drawn to the study and practice of Pilates and Yoga and all things health. She has studied Pilates both here in Sydney with Helen Tardent and in Los Angeles with The Physical Mind Institute. Encouraged by several friends and colleagues - including Rockell to try Xtend Barre upon returning to Sydney only 6 months ago, Dani is so happy she did. She loves teaching and especially loves the clientele Xtend Barre attracts.


Amanda Jakelic - Instructor

Amanda developed a passion for dance at a very young age, training in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Contemporary from the age of 3. This passion for performing continued in adulthood where Amanda has had many years’ experience as a professional dancer, performing in various corporate events, stage shows and working for the Wiggles. Aside from her dancing achievements, Amanda holds a Bachelor of Commerce – Commercial Law and Human Resource Management and works full-time as a HR professional. Amanda holds her BBO Diploma in Classical Ballet, and having taught dance for many years it was very refreshing to discover the Xtend Barre workout. Amanda instantly fell in love with the dynamic, full body workout that combines her love for dance and Pilates in one addictive 55 minute class. She hopes to pass on her love and passion for Xtend Barre to her clients to help them achieve results by offering challenging classes that strengthen, lengthen and sculpt the body from head to toe. “Xtend Barre is a fun and great workout that takes Dance and Pilates to the next level and really does transform your body! Matthew Harris - Instructor

Matthew comes from the UK and fell in love with dance and movement at the tender age of four. He trained for five years at the Royal Ballet School, London followed by a diploma in Musical theatre at The Arts Educational Schools, London. He went on to a successful career in musicals, TV and cabaret all over the world that has spanned over 21 years. Career highlights include performing in the Musicals “Chess”, “La Cage aux Folles” and “Moby!” In Cabaret Matthew has worked at the world Famous “Moulin Rouge”, “The Talk of London”, “Royal Palace” and “Scala” in Madrid, Spain. He has also performed on the high seas for Royal Caribbean, Costa and Carnival cruise lines. Matthew has danced in numerous pantomimes, trade shows and on many TV variety shows. He has been lucky enough to dance for the Queen on several occasions. Matthew is also a qualified massage therapist. Injury led Matthew to Pilates and while studying this he discovered Xtend Barre and fell in love with this amazing workout. He is dedicated to help you achieve your fitness goals through this exciting class that will constantly challenge you and looks forward to meeting you at a Barre very soon.


Sara Czarnota - Instructor

Sara studied classical ballet under Josephine Jason and Alan Cross at The McDonald College, during which time she performed with the Premier State Ballet Company in roles including Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, Kitri in Don Quixote and Nikiya in La Bayadere. Successfully auditioning for professional ballet schools including The English National Ballet School and Zurich HMT Dance School, Sara decided to stay in Sydney where she completed her Bachelor of Creative Arts and graduated with Honours in Dance at Macquarie University. Simultaneously Sara was Convenor, Lecturer and Tutor of Dance History & Aesthetics at Macquarie University, combining her passion for dance and teaching. Sara is also an active Sydney dance reviewer and works full time in Marketing. Sara discovered Xtend Barre in Sydney and was instantly a devotee and addict. For Sara, since moving away from dance as a profession Xtend Barre is the single workout that enables the same muscles, develops tone, posture and balance like ballet does… Plus, the movement is fun and highly rewarding! Sara’s passion for Xtend Barre sparked a decision to become an instructor in order to spread her love of Xtend Barre and make everyone feel as good as she does after doing class!
